AMANDA: HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED
IN THIS SCHOOL?
Mrs. Marlowe: This is my first year in the capacity of
a principal. But if you remember last year, I was your teacher for a little
bit so I could say that I have worked in this school already last year.
AMANDA: IF YOU HAVE IDEAS FOR THE SCHOOL WHAT
ARE THEY?
Mrs. Marlowe: Ohhhh the ideas I have for this school.
Similar to InfoQuest which is a little bit of an enrichment program (like it’s
interesting ideas for the children to follow up on and to understand), I would
like to have different contests like I would like to have a Reading Challenge
and I would like to have a Girl’s newspaper… these are just some
of these ideas that we have. There are plenty of more still that we are thinking
about.
AMANDA: SINCE WHEN DID YOU WANT TO BECOME A
PRINCIPAL?
Mrs. Marlowe: I never really thought about wanting to
become a principal. This just happened at the end of last year. A teacher is
what I always wanted to be. A principal was when the position became available,
I said, “In my children’s school? I would do anything!” That’s
how I came to be the principal at Yeshiva Elementary School. The best Elementary
School in South Florida.
AMANDA: WHY DID YOU BECOME A PRINCIPAL AND NOTHING
ELSE?
Mrs. Marlowe: You mean of all the things I could have
been, why did I choose to be the principal? I accepted the principalship because
when you are the principal, you are involved with a lot of children all day
long and you have a chance to make sure that the children you are involved with
are happy, that they are succeeding and that they are having a wonderful year
and that is really the goal.
AMANDA: THANK YOU!
Mrs. Marlowe: Thank you!

MIRIAM: HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED
IN THIS SCHOOL?
Rabbi Janowski: I worked in this school for 20 years.
MIRIAM: IF YOU HAVE ANY GOALS FOR THE SCHOOL,
WHAT ARE THEY?
Rabbi Janowski: My goals for this school is that we should
be one of the top 10 schools in the United States in both Limudei Kodesh and
Secular Education and that the kids that come out of this school are full B’nei
Torah and B’nos Torah and are able to handle themselves in all kinds of
situations and they know what the Torah requires of them and they go on to higher
schools of learning. To just see nachas from all of them.
MIRIAM: SINCE WHEN DID YOU WANT TO BECOME A
PRINCIPAL?
Rabbi Janowski: That is a good question. I never really
thought of being a principal. But when I came to Miami, this was my first job
and I really started being a Rebbe. I really grew with the school.
